Origin
Recognizing the Void in the Locker Room.
In the bustling corridors of Atlanta’s premier sports facilities, a distinct pattern became impossible to ignore. Professional athletes, surrounded by millions of dollars in physical conditioning equipment, were sitting quietly at their lockers completely isolated. The physical training was optimal. The mental conditioning was precise. Yet, the spiritual architecture was entirely absent.
Michael Drew founded The Athletes Prayer Foundation to fill this exact void. The realization struck during a private conversation with a veteran player facing an impending retirement in 2021. The player had zero concept of who he was outside the uniform. To combat this, Michael developed the TAP Time Capsule—a physical intervention designed to give athletes something permanent they could touch, read, and retain forever.

Belief System
Faith Requires Physical Anchors.
We maintain a core conviction that an athlete’s worth is never defined by a scoreboard, but by their identity as a whole person. We believe faith should be tangible and enduring, not merely an emotional or fleeting sensation derived from a pre-game speech.
We prioritize holistic wellness, focusing intensely on the forty years a person lives after the game ends, rather than just the four quarters of play. A spiritual life requires structure, which is why we insist on delivering a physical parchment. The weight of the paper commands attention and builds a literal, undeniable record of progress.
Credential
Vetted for the Highest Levels of Competition.
The locker room is a restricted, high-security environment. Gaining access requires flawless operational logistics and unquestioned integrity. Our foundation is built on credentialed professionalism. We cooperate directly with athletic directors, team presidents, and equipment managers.
As a registered social enterprise, we utilize a transparent funding mechanism to ensure our spiritual care remains accessible. Every contribution goes toward the materials, secure delivery networks, and credentialed personnel required to place these archives into the right hands safely.
Alignment
Who We Serve and What We Reject.
We serve professional athletes in the NBA, MLB, MLS, and NFL. We serve division-one collegiate prospects and elite high school rosters navigating the intense pressure of recruitment. We do not serve casual recreational leagues, and we explicitly refuse to offer generic, one-size-fits-all motivational speaking.
We are not a traditional pep-rally ministry. If a program is searching for someone to shout superficial slogans before kickoff, we are the wrong partner. We operate quietly in the background, providing steadfast, reliable support through the TAP Time Capsule.
Strengthen the Foundation.
Partner with us to fund the creation and delivery of Time Capsules for collegiate athletes requiring spiritual guidance this season.
